OTAP
Oregon Technology Access Program
The Oregon Technology Access Program (OTAP) provides training, information, technical assistance and resources regarding the uses of technology for children with disabilities. OTAP services are available to anyone concerned with the needs of Oregon’s children with disabilities from birth to age twenty-one. The program is sponsored by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).
Customized Trainings
Oregon Technology Access Program (OTAP) offers a variety of Assistive Technology-related topics, which are customizable; to meet your training needs. These topics may be delivered face-to-face, virtually, or a combination of both methods. Workshops are provided at no cost to the host. Following is a list of current offerings. Please contact us to discuss your needs and your vision.
District Support AT Teams Project
In Oregon, more and more districts have begun to develop their own assistive technology programs. OTAP can assist in building capacity and help those teams create services and systems that make sense for the district’s local needs, demographics and resources.
Though there is no cost charged to districts for participation in the OTAP AT Teams Project, districts do need to cover team members’ travel expenses, associated substitute coverage costs and any other costs to the district to allow team participation.
If your agency is interested in participating in this project to develop high quality, legal and cost-efficient AT services, please contact us.
