Douglas ESD is here to support teachers and help students learn better.
We offer training and resources to give teachers new ideas and tools for their classrooms. Our instructional coaches work one-on-one with educators to provide guidance, share strategies, and solve challenges. By working together, we help teachers create welcoming, engaging, and effective learning spaces for all students.
New Teacher Bootcamp
WHEN: August 13 - 15, 2025, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join this interactive three-day training for new teachers with essential strategies and support to confidently begin their teaching journey. We’ll focus on:
- establishing effective classroom routines
- implementing positive classroom management techniques
- understanding student needs—including trauma-informed practices and special education accommodations
- mastering instructional planning aligned with standards
Teachers will engage in targeted breakout sessions tailored to their grade-level or special education needs.
