Early Intervention: Ages Birth-3
Early Intervention (EI) services in Jackson County are designed to support families with children from birth to age three who have developmental delays or disabilities. Our goal is to empower families with the tools and strategies needed to help their children thrive in everyday routines and activities in the child’s most natural setting.
Our Model
We use a Primary Service Provider (PSP) Model, where one dedicated provider partners closely with your family to deliver individualized support. This approach ensures consistency and collaboration, while our team of experts from multiple disciplines works behind the scenes to guide and inform the process.
Our services are rooted in coaching, a strengths-based approach where providers and families work together to enhance a child's development. By focusing on your family’s goals and everyday opportunities for learning, we help you feel confident in supporting your child’s growth.
In Jackson County, our services are delivered by three multi-disciplinary teams, each composed of skilled professionals, including early childhood special educators, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and service coordinators. These teams work collaboratively to serve children and families across the region, ensuring personalized and holistic care.
At Jackson County EI/ECSE, we believe every child and family deserves support that makes a difference. Together, we can help build a strong foundation for your child's future.
Parent Testimonial
Our Service Coordinator was extremely supportive by listening, validating concerns, talking through options and connecting us with the resources we needed. Our provider was also a huge help, and coming to the house to work with him in his safe place where we experienced the most challenging behavior made all the difference. I was involved and educated with respect at every turn.Samantha
Parent Testimonial
The EI team explained the process very clearly to me and my family. They taught me how to do the therapies so that we could work on them daily without hurting my child. They always listened to my concerns and gave me good feedback and always made sure I was okay with what was going to be done. They always texted me reminding me about the appointment and asking if everyone was feeling good.Carolina
