What to expect?  

We'll attentively hear your circumstances and provide consultation or assistance as required in any of the subsequent areas: 

1. Administrative Assistance 
   • Guidance on crisis response procedures for administration. 
   • Attendance of staff meetings at the start and/or end of the day. 
2. Support Spaces 
   • Co-facilitate support spaces for students. 
   • Co-facilitate support spaces for staff. 
3. Referrals and Resources 
   • Facilitate referrals to district counseling staff and/or community partners. 
   • Offer information on coping strategies. 
4. Post-Crisis Support 
   • Aiding with ongoing needs post-crisis. 
   • Consultation on monitoring and supporting students and staff requiring assistance. 
5. Who's included in the Flight Team response?
   • Douglas Education Service District staff 
   • Neighboring School Districts 
   • Local Community Members 
   • Partnering Crisis Response Team members 

   • Team members may include school counselors, social workers, and school psychologists, as well as administrators or other individuals within the school community who possess experience in handling crisis situations. Contact SSPS via email for more information.
