Superintendent Analicia Nicholson’s roots are in Douglas County. She is deeply connected to the community she leads. Since joining Douglas ESD in 2008, she has grown alongside the organization. She served as an instructional coach, managed programs and advanced to deputy superintendent, before stepping into her current role in 2022.

Along the way, this former teacher has built lasting relationships with families, students, educators, partners, and staff by listening and concentrating on shared goals. By blending an understanding of local needs with a focus on collaboration, she is dedicated to advancing achievement for all children, birth to adulthood.

Students remain at the heart of her conversations. She understands the importance of prioritizing opportunities that help learners become engaged and prepare for the future. She believes that when young people feel supported and connected, they are more likely to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
